Maria has a great deal of experience in dealing with hearing loss and the effects it has on personal relationships. Hearing loss of a serious nature was in Maria’s family as she grew up. Her mother and grandfather wore hearing aids, experiencing hearing loss at an early age. Her personal experience has inspired Maria to have a heart-felt passion to help those with hearingloss to hear to their full potential and to help them take initiative to repair and maintain the relationships with family and loved ones. Maria loves to contribute to the Starkey Hearing Foundation, which provides free hearing help to those around the world who cannot afford it. Maria has volunteered Northland Hearing as a partnering provider for the HearNow Program; Maria is instrumental in providing hearing aids and service free of charge to those in Interior Alaska who cannot afford hearing aids.
“I am happiest when my professional assistance has been important in reconnecting communication between husband and wife, parent and child and longtime friends. Hearing is our connection to other people.”
